Yuksom it is small mountain hamlet village which is people of gathering like 1500-2000 include yuksom circle altitude is just 1800 meter. The lives different tribes gathering like Bhutia, Lepcha, Limboo, Gurung, Rai, Chettri, kami, Damai, etc. So all of us live like harmonium, each other live like brother and sister, so the Yuksom it means meeting place of ancient three saint (lama) from the different location like saying Tibet, Bhutan, and some other direction. and they meet at here this in place and people called Yuksom. and the first king also decide at here Yuksom who has origin from Tibet and called of the first king Phuntshok Namgyal. So one of the important of this place it is main gate or main base camp for the Goechala trek, From the yuksom goechala trekking are begin from here and first day just walk like 4 hours to reach Sachen and the trails is completely inside by the huge green forest and with the view of beautiful gauge of white river of Rathong river.
